Fastener testing — mechanical properties and hardness

The fastener industry is one of the four industries the company names as its focus. The published product range includes servo-controlled universal testing machines for the tensile, compression, bending and shear testing of metal specimens, and Rockwell hardness testers for the hardness testing of metals, together with specimen preparation equipment.

What makes this industry hard

Materials testing and hardness testing equipment for fastener production and incoming inspection.

Mechanical properties come first

Tensile, proof-load and bending tests on bolts, screws and studs are the routine evidence for a production lot, and they need a machine whose capacity and accuracy match the size range being produced.

Hardness is a separate traceable chain

Hardness testing follows its own standard family, and the scale, test force and indenter have to match the specification being checked.

What we provide

What we provide

The fastener industry is one of the four industries the company names as its focus. The published product range includes servo-controlled universal testing machines for the tensile, compression, bending and shear testing of metal specimens, and Rockwell hardness testers for the hardness testing of metals, together with specimen preparation equipment.

Universal testing machines

Single-column, dual-column tabletop and dual-column floor-standing servo machines from 1 kN to 500 kN, 0.5 class force sensor, load accuracy ≤ ±0.5 %, force resolution up to 1/1,000,000.

Rockwell hardness testers

Models HR-150A (manual loading) and HR-150DT (motorised loading): 10 kgf (98.07 N) initial test force, 60 / 100 / 150 kgf test forces, HRA / HRB / HRC scales, maximum specimen height 170 mm.

Specimen preparation

Abrasive cut-off machines with a dual quick-clamp vice, recirculating coolant and overload protection, for preparing metal specimens before testing.

Laboratory services

Laboratory planning and operator training, plus instrument calibration and maintenance.

Questions buyers ask

Questions buyers ask

Which capacity should be specified?
The published series spans 1 kN to 500 kN across single-column, tabletop and floor-standing builds, and the capacity is selected against the specimen strength and size. [TO CONFIRM: the specimen range for your production, so the capacity can be fixed.]
Are the test methods limited to one standard system?
No. The published description states that the systems meet the relevant GB, ISO, JIS, ASTM and DIN test methods, and the hardness testers list GB/T 230.2, ISO 6508 and ASTM E-18.

Still to be confirmed

[TO CONFIRM: which fastener test methods (e.g. proof load, wedge tensile, hardness on finished parts) the first project has to cover, and whether specimen preparation equipment is included.]
